This policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Fieldgarden ("Company", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and discloses personal information obtained through fieldgarden.com (the "Website"), our game software, and any related applications or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service"). Using the Service means you're okay with how we handle your information as described here. You can take back your consent by giving us reasonable notice, though that might mean we can't run the Service properly for you. Don't want to accept this? Stop using the Service. Information you share while playing, interacting with the Service, or messaging our support team gets collected too.

Technical information gets collected when you use the Service. Device Information. IP address, browser type, OS version, device IDs, browser settings. Usage Information. How you interact with the Service—gameplay actions, how long sessions last, error reports. Cookies. We use cookies and Google Analytics to track usage stats. Want to know more? 3. How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to run the Service, follow the law, and do the things listed below. Internal Business Purposes. Analytics, user research, development, making the Service better. Your username and profile might show up on leaderboards or get used to improve how you play. Communications. We respond to your questions and send operational emails—account verification, maintenance alerts, that stuff. Marketing. Subscribed to our newsletter? You'll get game updates and feature announcements. Unsubscribe link is in every email. Compliance. We process information to enforce our rights, stop security problems, follow applicable laws, and respond to legal requests. Aggregate Data. We might de-identify your information and use it in anonymous, aggregated form for other purposes.

We don't sell, share, or hand over your personal information to third parties except in these cases or when the law requires it. Service Providers. We share data with vendors who help us run the Service: — Data storage through Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB & S3, based in the United States). — Newsletter delivery via Mailchimp (see mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/). — Third-party payment processors handle transactions, but we don't store card information. — Applicant tracking systems process job applications. Other Users. Your username, bio, avatar, and activity might be visible to other players. When the Law Requires It. Court orders, legal requirements, or protecting ourselves and others can trigger disclosure. Business Changes. If we merge, get acquired, or sell assets, information might be shared under applicable law. Aggregate Data. Anonymous, aggregated reports about user demographics and usage patterns can be shared.

5. Information from Children Under 14

6. How Long Is Your Information Kept?

We keep your information as long as we need it for why we collected it, plus what makes sense for customer service, business, and legal reasons. Unless the law says otherwise.

7. How Do We Protect Your Personal Information?

We use industry-standard protections against loss, unauthorized access, and tampering while information is moving around and sitting in storage. Nothing's completely bulletproof though. If a serious breach happens, we'll tell you according to the law.

8. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your information might end up with people in other countries—Canada, the United States, others. We protect it the same way described here and follow the law.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We update this Privacy Policy sometimes. New versions go on the Website and we'll notify you of significant changes through the Services, email, or whatever works best.

10. Governing Law

Canadian law and Quebec law govern this Privacy Policy. Any disputes about privacy get handled exclusively in Montreal courts.

11. How Can You Access and Rectify Your Personal Information?

Want to see what personal information we have or ask us to correct it? Write to the address below. We'll respond within thirty days and give you access according to the law. We might ask you to verify who you are; that information only gets used for verification and nothing else.
